We the Sherpas have travelled all the way ranging from the high altitudes near the Himalayas; famous for its Mountains including Everest the highest in the world to the lowland at sea level. In the course of our travelling life, we were infatuated towards the easy way of subsistent under the good governance of UK (in other part of the world) Thus we had to inhabit in UK, but we do not want to forget our language, religion, tradition and culture.

Since, 2001- 2003 ( dhul, ta, Luk ) Losar ( New year) in UK has been organised by a small mumber of Sherpas, with number gradually rising.Thus the Sherpas and Sherpa supporting communities decided to form a Kidug ,during the Losar Celebration 2003. So on 6th April2003 a meeting was held amongst the Selected representations from different parts of UK, and the UK Sherpa Kidug( yinyul Sherpa Kidug) established.

The financial support for the organisation will raised by membership fees, donations and any fund raised from organised activities such as LOSAR / PHAG-NGI etc. UK Sherpa kidug primarily serve Sherpas and those associated with Sherpa community in the United Kingdom.
